To promote peace, tolerance, and respect of religion in connection with the promotion of inter-faith harmony. Mr. Shahzad Lawrence President of (Education, Peace, and Development Initiatives Rabata Society) visited Gurdwara Sahib (A worship place of the Sikh community) in Canberra ACT. Sardar Jasbir Singh Gidda welcomed Mr. Shahzad Lawrence and introduced him to the Vice President of the association.
Sardar Jasbir Singh Gidda shared The Canberra Sikh Association (CSA) is anon-profit religious, educational, and social organization representing theSikh population of the ACT and surrounding regions.
The Devotees and visitors, who come attend Sangat (Holy congregation) in the Canberra Sikh Gurdwara (Sikh Centre), are provided with free Langar (Free Kitchen), he added. The community kitchen system encouraged the Sikhs to eat together in Pangat (in one row) irrespective of religion, caste, color, and creed. In Langar, rich and poor, Sikhs and non-Sikhs, all share food sitting together in one row.

- To spread common teaching of religions
- To advance interfaith dialogue
- To encourage a brother-hood-relationship
- To bring the community close regardless of their color religion creed and cast
