Condemnation Meeting On Desecration Of Holy Quran In Sweden
A condemnation meeting of the representatives of different churches was held today, July 4, 2023, at eleven o’clock in Christ Church Gujranwala by the EPDI Rabata Society. In the meeting, a serious discussion was held about the concerns and threats faced by Christians in Pakistan after burnt the holy book of Muslims in Sweden.
Shahzad Lawrence said that such incidents are a conspiracy to prove Muslim-Christian contact and relations. Freedom of opinion is the right of every human being, but hurting the hearts of countless people for one person’s personal satisfaction is also a question mark. He said that tireless efforts are going on for the improvement and promotion of Muslim-Christian dialogue in Gujranwala. He said that to achieve the true essence of interfaith dialogue, respect for each other’s religion has to be ensured. So that there is peace in the world.
Christian religious leaders emphasized organizing condemnation rallies in connection with solidarity with the native Muslim community. During the meeting, it was decided to hang condemnation banners on the main gate of churches.

OUTCOME
Representatives of Muslim religious, social and political leadership highly
appreciated condemnation statements from the Christian community. It was a
very productive meeting and hopefully, it would promote peace and harmony
among Muslims and Christians in Pakistan and Gujranwala as well. Moreover,
Muslim religious leaders expressed gratitude to the Rabata members for showing
solidarity with the Muslim community.
