The President of EDPI Rabata Society Shahzad Lawrance received an invitation from the concerned police officer of Meesaq Center on Saturday, 26th August, 2023. Mr. Irfan Saleem an In-Charge of Meesaq Center welcomed him and told him about the functionality of the office. “The Punjab Police Meesaq Centers have been started in
accordance with the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the orders of the Punjab government, and the national narrative. IG Punjab further said that Meesaq Centers are the unit of Punjab Police for the protection of minority rights, and promotion of inter-faith harmony. Meesaq Centers will be established at the district and sub-division levels, where there is a large population of Christians and minorities. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the Meesaq Centers would ensure the protection of the religious, social, and social rights of all minorities living in the province. Any abuses, social problems, and complaints against the citizens will be ensured in time.” He added.
