Community influencers help the public, especially the younger generation, understand the connection between population control and a better quality of life
Our role is to educate people, especially the youth, about the serious consequences of Pakistan’s rapidly growing population. I am part of this awareness campaign through talks, meetings, and various activities.

Mr. Shahzad Lawrence, the president of Rabata Society, highlights how unchecked population growth is putting an enormous strain on our nation’s limited resources. It is not only a national problem but a deeply personal one that affects every household, leading to overcrowded schools, overwhelmed hospitals, unemployment, and the rising cost of living.
Mr. Lawrence also raises awareness about how overpopulation directly affects our access to basic health services. Clinics and hospitals are overcrowded, doctors and medicines are scarce, and emergency services are limited. In poor and rural areas, mothers and children suffer the most due to the lack of adequate medical care, nutrition, and family planning services.

Through various channels, including lectures, personal talks, small get togethers, seminars, messages through mosques and churches, visits to colleges and universities, and youth forums, I communicate the impact of the population explosion on water shortage, food insecurity, and poor sanitation. I emphasize that we are not only depriving ourselves but also robbing future generations of a stable, healthy, and prosperous life. My mission is to create a sense of urgency and responsibility, urging people to think beyond today and consider the long-term impact of their choices on the nation’s development and well-being.
